The Volunteer Centre is part of a national network of centres that help voluntary and community organisations to recruit and manage their volunteers.
It helps people interested in volunteering to find interesting and enjoyable opportunities.

We encourage and support volunteering by everyone irrespective of age, education, background, health or wealth. Volunteering is a way for all citizens to get involved in their community.
Our service covers the whole of Dorset county (except Bournemouth and Poole which have their own centre). As well as a main office in the county town of Dorchester we run outreach points in 8 other locations. We attend local events, shows and public meetings to publicise volunteering and recruit new volunteers, and we maintain a comprehensive database of volunteering opportunities.
