As a talent, and an art form, RIBI celebrates the photographic skills of thousands of young people with a sequence of competitions that give them the chance to demonstrate and display just what they can produce

This competition aims to encourage young people to: 

2015/16 Competition

This competition is open to students, in full time education, in one of three age groups on 31 August 2015:

With the age qualifying date of 31st August 2015, it should be noted that some junior entrants may be 11, intermediate entrants may be 14 and some senior entrants may be 18 at the time of some or all the stage competitions i.e. a competitor may be 17 on 31st August but turns 18 on 1st September is allowed to enter.Competitors must include their date of birth on the application form.

Students must enter the competition, organised by the local Rotary Club, through their school, college or organisation.

Entrants are required to produce a portfolio of three photographs based upon a theme (to be announced in the Autumn) in colour, or black and white, on photographic paper. Prints to be submitted separately. Each print, including any mount should be no larger than A4 size. It will be up to the individual entrants to show imagination in the interpretation of the theme and he/she must provide, in no more than 50 words, details of the inspiration for their photographs

Club rounds should be held in February or early March. The winning entries of each age group will go through to the District round

The District round judgeing will take place before a panel of experts. The winner of each catagory will be chosen to go forward to the RIBI National finals which will be judged in May
